The underdeveloped waterfront of Cincinnati, OH currently consists of large areas of surface parking sprawling around sports stadia. This project tries to engage the site’s centralized context and exploit it as an ‘urban lobby’ with a transit hub to bring people to the heart of downtown and multiple cultural/recreational spaces for the benefit of residents and visitors alike. The volumes of the buildings emerge from the a series of superimposed vectors that run across the site as a means of directing traffic and lines of sight. They could house cultural and entertainment venues supported by the foot-traffic generated by the transit center.
